Good grief, it's been a while now. Let me buzz through with some catching-up:
It's been lovely weather here... and I (like the majority of Norwegians) have had the good sense to get outside in the sunshine when it's blessing us with
its presence. I've been doing a bit of gardening... if you can call the Neverending Dandelion War gardening.
I've been working at least 4 days every week and I really like my job. As I begin to know the people (both the ones I work with and the ones I work alongside of) it's becoming
much more enjoyable. And it's not hard work either. (Shhhh...) And when I mentioned that I had recently acquired a whole fleece (Thank you Anzie and Lambert!)
they generously loaned me a Louët drum carder which saved me about 3 years worth of work, I think. (More on this later.)
I'm really into the TaeKwon Do, which is 2 1/2 hours two nights a week, plus we had summer training camp weekend before last and that took a lot of getting ready for and recovering from.
Amalie (shown below in her new vest, which she's gotten compliments on, but "mostly from grown-ups") and I are going to try for our orange belts next week. Whoo hoo!
I've also finished 1 3/4 of a pair of Regia (a.k.a. juksegarn) socks. The yarn shocked and amazed the ladies at work (who had never heard of
such a thing) which enboldened me to mention it to the yarn store lady who took the label and might do something about it.
And we got a lovely thank you note from the recipient of this little sweater and have been working on a
little lacy dress since it turned out to be a very sweet little girl.
This is a weblog. It's mine. It tends to be about knitting
with occasional ramblings about my experience living in Norway.
(Sometimes it's the other way 'round.) Want to know more? Read
this! :O)
