Craft Pop is a new arts and crafts links directory brought to
us by Quidnunc.org. There's a lot of stuff here that I hadn't seen
before -
Go explore a bit then add your site!
(P.S. There's a separate section for weblogs.)
Older guest map entries are here for want
of another place to put them.

Just in case
...you're feeling particularly generous or
appreciative...
I'm a happy, healthy survivor of breast cancer at age 25 thanks to early detection by breast self-exam.
It is my most profound wish that all women, everywhere, do breast self-exams every month.
Here's how.
The most important thing is that you learn to know your own body and what is normal for you so that you can
tell when something has changed.
And in non-knitting news I take the required medication calculation test tomorrow. The test (which is in Norwegian)
involves lots of calculating strengths of various solutions and infusions and percentages and total volumes and I have to
be 100% correct on this in order to be allowed to work as a nurse in Norway. (eep)
Any and all good vibes sent towards Oslo tomorrow morning (8 am GMT) would be greatly appreciated. That will be 3 am EST so feel free to
send 'em before you go to sleep tonight if you're in North (or South for that matter) America. ;o)
for different (larger) image and
here for more information about the yarn and whatnot.
And here are the humble beginnings of the Crown Sweater...
"Long term committment" is the phrase that springs to mind. The green bits are done in duplicate stitch... I got eager
to see how it would look so I've done the middle and the one on the right but not the one on the left. Oh, and another
bit of information : Someone had left a comment here about the sleeves of this sweater looking very long in the picture. I
have since found out that the model in the picture (seen here at Bea Ellis Knitwear)
is wearing blue wrist warmers underneath the sweater, so the
length of the sleeves in the picture is NOT accurate... meaning that they wouldn't likely drag in the barbeque sauce. ;o)
And finally here are a couple of shots of the table decoration at the reception (for the confirmation)...
I was responsible for decorating and am particularly pleased with the way the flowers
and the place cards came out. The flowers are a white peony surrounded by lilacs, sweeet peas, baby's breath and white carnations.
The place cards deserve a post unto themselves ... stay tuned!
